Oh my gosh, so precious! What a lovely story about introverted friendships, sweet and well-intentioned mice, and wiley foxes who can change their nature.

I love everything about this, as per usual with Joe Todd-Stanton's books, but I think my favorite little detail might be the differences in the front and back endpapers. ...Especially the bit with the owl frowning in its bush whilst being heckled by some crows.

A story about an unexpected friendship that made my heart feel warm. I also liked that Todd-Stanton didn't change the characters behaviour when they became friends, they just enjoyed each other's company in their own way.

Oh I'm a fan of Joe Todd-Stanton and from now on I will read anything he does!

This story broke my heart and pieced it back together while making me laugh. How does someone is able to do that in 40 pages? I'm in awe.
The story is a little mouse who tries to survive the wild, and keeps to herself. It's a lonely life but she likes it that way. One day a fox tries to eat her but stays stuck in the mouse's nest. Reluctantly, she helps him. After that, she's lonely again, and finds herself missing the fox. Until he saves her life in the most hilarious way. After that, they're friends and it's not such a bad life to have someone to share your meals.

The illustrations are CUTE and so damn FUNNY. I loved them. They capture so many expressions and emotions, I was really impressed. They were a lot of details that kids will love to spend time watching. The story and text were great, dealing with the themes of loneliness in a lovely way.

I would 100 per cent recommend this!

Joe Todd-Stanton has done it again. From the creator of the incredible, award winning The Secret Of Black Rock and The Brownstone’s Mythical Collection series comes this beautiful little fable about a Mouse who likes to keep to himself. That is, until the day a Fox jumps through his window and changes things.

Todd-Stanton’s signature charm is in full force in this perfect fable of friendship, coupled with his stunning artwork, this is another sure to be favourite among children everywhere.
