As another review put it, this book is utterly horrific and yet I couldn't put it down. Mostly because it was short and I wanted to be done with it already, but also because the prose is well written even if the content of it is nauseating. I'm not shy of horror, but this was a step too far for me.

This was absolutely demonic. And that's the point, I guess. Poverty and its many faces of degradation.

Everything about this book feels like home. I can only feel sorry for those who won't be able to read it in Spanish.

I can’t rate this book higher than 4 stars because of how gross, vile, revolting, vulgar and disgustingly detailed it is. But I applaud the author for their artistic abilities.

Additional CW: graphic zoophilia.

P.S.: I expected a different kind of horror…
