I really enjoyed this. I started reading it and thought, "how can a simple love story be so long?" But it's not a simple love story: it's got so many plot twists and recalling factors which add a lot of depth to the book. And, as it is Jane Austen, once you get into the style of writing, her tone is fantastic. It's not as funny as Northanger Abbey, but it has more plot. Her dry humour and biting sarcasm are brilliant. There's one conversation, between Lucy and Elinor, where the reader is squirming although their words seem perfectly cordial. Yeah, good read. Definitely.

This book was not for me.
My thoughts kept drifting while reading. Only the last few chapters turned interesting, but even then I couldn't care less about the family relations between the Forrerrstshwjejf what'stheirnames. (I literally finished this book today how do I not remember hahah.)
Maybe I'm too much sense and not enough sensibility. But why oh why is Mariannegetting married to the Colonel ? I am confusion.
This book could've been a lot more compressed to keep the tension, but then again, it's a product of its time.

Well-written for main characters. Many characters other than the first two Dashwood sisters aren't that well-written. But Marianne is so brilliantly told that even I really disliked her characters for the most part of the book, until she finally learns a thing or two.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and curiously, every Jane Austen novel I read seems to be my new favourite one. Sense and Sensibility was no exception to the rule. Let's see if this trend is going to keep.
This novel is basically about the two sisters Elinor and Marianne and how they find a match (it's difficult because: men!). I didn't particularly like Marianne but could relate to Elinor. There were some other characters I liked and others that were probably meant to be despised. And even though everything turned out differently than I'd wished and hoped for, I was pretty happy with the ending. It never gets boring and the dialogue and style of this novel is quite witty and entertaining. But what did I expect?! It's Jane Austen after all and this novel was excactly what I needed.

This is a great book. It's a slow read, I think, but excellent. I really enjoyed it.
