Oh, Colin Bridgerton... you make me swoon. I loved everything about this. I definitely think the Bridgerton books keep getting better and better as I read them. I'm not a very avid historical romance reader, but I've really enjoyed these so far. Looking forward to watching Penelope and Colin's story unfold in the Netflix series.

Luke Newton is a beautiful man, so no surprise that picturing him while reading this just made it even better. I may have shed a little tear at the end of this because it was so sweet.

I didn't like how
Spoiler Colin kind of pressured Penelope's reveal
but I loved this love story between two writers and how bold and smart Penelope is! This and Anthony's story, The Viscount Who Loved Me , are my two favorites in the series so far; the chemistry was well done between the characters. A lot of great and funny quotes!

This was a disappointing read. Borderline boring. Maybe if I hadn’t seen the series and couldn’t picture Penelope Featherington and Colin but alas I could and it was a very uninteresting read. I almost gave it 1⭐️ but I enjoyed the updates in the other characters’ lives. I’m not sure if I’ll continue w this series.

I was so excited for this book. I adored Colin in the first three books and couldn't wait for his story. Perhaps my expectations were too high as I felt slightly disappointed. The story was still really great but it wasn't quite as good as the others, particularly books 1 and 2. I enjoyed it nonetheless, it just lacked it some substance and humour. I'm disappointed but there was a lot of good in the book too so I'm not going to be too harsh about it.
