Pretty solid until the end. Didn’t love the end and Jon’s behavior and sudden realisation.

I will be 100% honest. This cover is what made me stop. The title had me snickering to my naughty inner monologue. The blurb made me twitch and shift my thighs. This book however was hot as...
I'm sure you can imagine what a hot tattooed up man who looks like sinner but blushes like a saint would do to anyone. When you pair him with a fit Navy fighter pilot, the gifs on tumblr would only get you so far.
In a crass and entirely too much information way I need to say this: if you don't have a BOB or an available person handy you are going to be physically turned on all day. Probably close to the edge...possibly eyeing the washing machine...(Don't give me that look, it was a suggestion. Anyway, I can't try it the kids are home.) So take it from the sexually frustrated reviewer....
Pounding Skin is a perfect title and now I clearly need to follow this author for more....everything.

The ending felt a little abrupt. I wish there was just a little bit more of their story.

Jon and Matt were great. I enjoyed their chemistry from the beginning. All their sex scenes were so hot. I like how Matt's ex girlfriend and family supported him coming out as bisexual. Sadly, I figured Caleb was cheating on Nate at the same times Matt did. I'm glad Nate didn't try to work it out. I also like how Nate still believed in love even though his husband ended up being a cheater. I can't wait to read the next book on Lucas and Nate.

'' We’re more than what we set out to be.
Matt touched Jon’s cheek.
You know that, right?
But he didn’t say anything.''
I think it depends what you expect. If you want a story about two delicious guys who have a lot of sex, then you will be more than happy. The book is well written, low on angst and rather sweet. If you like military men and tattooed guys, you'll probably be satisfied satisfied. But that is that. There is practically no plot, no narrative... It's just book porn with a minimum of personal development. The author had to create a storyline to make it almost 300 pages, but it's the sex first and everything else is just staffage.
Generally I like long books where you really get to dwell into the story and the characters, but as there's not a lot of meat to the story... well , there is a LOT of naked MEAT in the story, but it is just way too long.
Personally, I prefer the story to be primary and complete in itself, and then the hanky panky is secondary and dependent on the plot ... a sweet side win. I read somewhere that the books in the series can be read independently of each other. That's a good idea, because so far they look very much alike and the minimal plot and story are practically the same. Two guys meet over a tattoo and insta-attraction occurs. They decide to have a lot of sex, but without being committed. Along the way, insta-attractions develop into feelings, and after they have overcome their individual hang-ups, they enter into a relationship. Da daaaa ... And that is that. That being said, the guys are adorable and I did like them. And because of the Matt and Jon, I did like this book much more than Back Piece. So that's the reason behind the 3. 5 stars.
I'll read on because I have received the 3rd book to review it. I can do this! I will overcome!
