Certainly a memorable read, though with the line being fact and fiction blurred as much as it is some of the incidents related are hard to forgive. At its best, an exploration of how the counterculture got side-tracked into self-indulgent nonsense; at its worst, actual self-indulgent nonsense. Insane. Funny. Horrifying.
Quick read/listen. I thoroughly enjoyed it for the most part.
It really makes you FEEL like your on acid.

Far more relevant (entertaining) to an American audience than non-Americans, it was also cringe and pretty gross to read. Unique style though, gonzo journalism must have been very entertaining at the time. Happy I finished it but yeah I won't read any more Hunter S Thompson one's enough thanks.
