Finally starting this series. This is 1/5 book of the series and I’ve got 4 more to go! I’m so bad finishing series ngl but I want to try with this series. The words flew by eventho more than 550++ pages are in this book and yes the tension & smut in this book is so damn hot

I have a LOT of feelings about this book, and I’m really struggling with how I want to rate this one. I’m usually a very decisive person, but I’m gonna chew on this one for a day or two and come back to it to rate and review.

I picked up this book purely out of curiosity over its reputation...
It was like a bad car accident and I couldn’t look away and there were multiple points throughout that I considered DNFing but persevered-I had to see through this endeavor, ok?
I don’t know why but I really wanted to like this... but I had a hard time believing their love story. Granted, their are more books and I’m sure this builds... but I found Adrianna to be immature. (Of course this is to be expected for her age) However, she is constantly referred to as mature for her age...
And Kova was an entirely other issue for me
I would respect him more if he could own up to his feelings for Adrianna and cut things off with Katja. I think I was the most disappointed in him.
Overall, the writing was good
It was just hard to get behind these characters
And I often found myself rooting against Kova and cheering for Hayden

I really enjoyed this book, the first in the series! While it's definitely taboo considering it revolves around a coach having a relationship with his gymnast, the author wrote it in a way that kept me intrigued and I enjoyed the forbidden aspect of it. I also very much liked the dedication to showing the not so pretty side of gymnastics. I'm looking forward to continuing this series and seeing what happens next!

Oh my god. This book. I am in love and addicted.
There was so much in this book, the angst, the tension, the secrets, the ending. I am jumping right into book 2 because I need to know what happens RIGHT NOW.
