It was nice but very predictable and unoriginal, as all fairy tales. The narrator did a poor job.

Based on the cover and description I thought this was going to be YA, but it's definitely not - the main character is 33 and a former prostitute. Really enjoyable characters and story even if I could see the end coming from a mile away. Closed door.

Tournament of Losers is a fun and captivating read for anyone interested in a lighthearted, rather fast paced (and at times predictable) story about two people overcoming their own prejudices to come together, while simultaneously describing the life of a person in poverty and their struggles (wich may seem a bit too serious of a description).

I found Rath to be a refreshingly simple and kind main character and enjoyed his personality most and Tress is also a fun male lead- his introduction definitely surprised me.

If I’d have to critique something I’d probably address the unnecessary grammar mistakes and the lack of a proper fleshed out ending- I desperately want to get to know the royal family (Tresses siblings were mentioned multiple times) and Rath adapting to his new role as Tresses husband.

I liked the story and I might read it again. It is very predictable but that is what I was in the mood for. All the misunderstandings and arguments were solved quickly which I appreciate. I liked the characters. No real complaints.

19/03/2020 Audio version - Absolutely loved it. Great narration and the story held up even though I knew what happens. Re-listen for sure!
