Great conclusion to the Ransom Trilogy. I would definitely recommend it to others who have a love for the navy, pirates and the heat of Jamaica.

The only thing I would change is make it clearer whose point of view it is from because it changes all the time and can be confusing. But besides that I am happy I continued with the series and enjoyed the last two books especially.

Clean, no language and faith promoting.

In reading the Kindle version of this book, I'm pretty sure that my publisher used the unedited ARC/galley version instead of the final, edited version that was published in paperback. There were SOOOO many errors/changes that I know I made corrections on the galley before the book was published. I actually started marking them with the notes feature on the Kindle as I was reading.

That aside---and wanting to make additional edits/changes to make the story and the prose flow better---after four years away from this book, not having read it since I received my first published copy of it, it was wonderful to revisit these beloved characters and be able to read the story when I'd forgotten some of it.

Still, with as much as I love it, I'd still love to be able to do a complete revision of it, include some more action sequences and a lot more romance!

What a conclusion to the Ransome Trilogy!

Picking up right where Ransome's Crossing left off, Ransome's Quest provides an exciting and at times heartwrenching conlcusion to the stories of William and Julia, Ned and Charlotte along with a few surprises thrown in.

Kaye Dacus does a good job of taking you along for the ride through these character's lives. You get to feel Ned and William's fear and frustration over Charlotte, William's fears over Julia, Julia's fear and determination to not give in to Shaw, you see Charlotte's ability to turn a hostage situation into a family reunion and more.

I highly recommend this trilogy but it's best if you start at the beginning with Ransome's Honor since all the books build off each other.

It's summer, vacation time but just in case you can't make to your tropical destination of choice this year with books like Kaye Dacus's Ransome's Quest there's no need to worry. The latest book in the Ransome Trilogy has sultry breezes, cerulean waters and huge ships that will take you on a journey to rival any trip to the beach. Ms. Dacus has put together a satisfying conclusion for the characters we've all grown to know and love.

The adventures of Julia, Charlotte, William, and Ned along with some exciting and ferocious new characters definitely makes for a real page-turner. Throughout the series each character has grown in their faith while remaining flawed and vulnerable. At times they were scared (if you read this book I dare you not to shiver at the name of Shaw!) and sometimes defiant. Poor Ned, the things he has to go through looking out for Charlotte aka Charles Lott.

All in all Ransome's Quest is a great read for those who like a little romance, a little faith and a lot of adventure. Marylu Tyndall fans will probably love this too. Just a hint, I highly recommend reading this series in order as you will be very confused otherwise with so many characters and backstories.

Charlotte is kidnapped by pirates and William and Ned set out to find her, they soon discover that it wasn't Charlotte they wanted and Julia is also taken.

An interesting twist to end this trilogy.

I loved this book! I loved how Salvador was brought in, and I knew exactly who he was the first time we meet him. My only complaint is that Charlotte annoyed me. She was silly and childish in my opinion, and seemed to steal the show from Julia. Even though Julia went through worse torture, Charlotte still got more attention. The ending, though, was highly satisfying, and gave us nice (if sad) closure to the series.
