This book took some time to get into, and it's certainly not a fast paced book, but once I got into it, I could hardly put it down.

I’ve not fancied myself a reader of mysteries, but on recommendation of a respected friend, I dove into this series. So far so good! The cast is intriguing, and the inspector is winningly wise and flawed. I look forward to the next installment.

I was hoping to find a new series and I'm glad it's going to be this one. Still Life is a cozy and funny mystery novel that had some fantastic one-liners; it was perfect to read in the winter. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
