3 STARS

"Brilliantly funny, teenage angst author Louise Rennison's fifth book about the confessions of crazy but lovable Georgia Nicolson. Louise will be a star on the HarperCollins teenage list."11.20a.m. This is my fabulous life: the Sex God left for Whakatane last month and he has taken my heart with him. 11.25a.m. Not literally of course otherwise there would be a big hole in my nunga nungas. 11.28a.m. And also I would be dead. Which quite frankly would be a blessing in disguise. 12.00p.m. It is soooo boring being brokenhearted...but Georgia doesn't remain brokenhearted for long: frequent snogging extravaganzas with old flame, Dave the Laugh, and the arrival of jelloid-knee-inducing Italian stallion, Masimo, mean that Georgia has her work cut out to remain the composed sex-kitten that she aspires to be.Follow Georgia's hilarious antics as she desperately muddles her way through teenage life and all that it entails: make-up disasters, rapidly expanding nunga nungas, school -- urgh, unsympathetic friends, highly embarrassing family (and pets) and, of course, BOYS." A younger version of Bridget Jones's Diary! Funny!!!

OK,
at this point I'm just getting through them, to get through them.
I don't find them as cute as I once did.

This was simply the next series on my list and I'm almost done.
If I'm being 100% honest, I DO want to see wet Lindsay alone... as an adult, I know that's wrong, but whatever.

As a Dave the Laugh stan I could never get behind Massimo as a love interest.

Somewhat pointless to mention but how unrealistic is it that two of the three of Georgia's main love interests are also into Lindsay? Are there no other single females in the whole town?!

That was another great book in this series. Georgia is wonderful and absolutely silly.

Also I love the book title. Really creative.

Georgia, why don't you get together with Dave the Laugh, already, and stop being such an airhead over your boring boyfriend? Thank goodness for your charming self-centred antics with your friends, which spice up the novel.

“Rudeness is a poor substitute for wit.”

Not sure why I keep doing this to myself. The movie was fun and I liked the first book when I was a teenager. But it just keeps getting worse.

The teenage MC is terrible. I was plenty annoying as a teen, but at least I wasn’t fat/skinny/slut shaming literally everyone. Then there’s all the ‘omg I’m not a lezzer’ teen homophobia, like how people used to call non-cool things gay. The overdramatic ‘i’m so depressed’ moments (because a boy didn’t like her, she got over it in 3 minutes). And don’t forget bullying friends, classmates, teachers and MC stating she thinks parents are basically just purses.
