What am I supposed to do now that I think stealing from rich people and being morally ambiguous is cool

The style of storytelling takes some time to get used to. The narration constantly jumps from present to past. But it was masterfully executed and it is a treat to read.

'Gentleman Bastard' is an apt title to describe Locke and his ragtag gang of thieves.

This is a story of revenge, deception and intrigue. The world has been excellently built and there are many topics that can be expanded upon. I really liked the politics and the various religions and the general lore.

This has very quickly become my favourite book.

The world that Scott Lynch has created is lush and colourful.

The relationships and the characters are multidimensional, deep and complex.

For most of this book it was a book I was very much enjoying, but the third act of this book is possibly the best final act I have ever come across in any book.

I cannot recommend it enough.
