Read this for a Ghibli challenge in one of the book servers on Discord. Don't like it enough to read another 6 volumes. The art is not my style, sometimes it's hard to distinguish what exactly is going on. Too many other books out there waiting for me.

I cannot give high enough praise for this book (all volumes). please take some time to go through this in its entirety...
maybe for me it is more a visual experience... (I have a copy of it untranslated that I can't read at all, but have gone through many times to view the story in it's original format)

Miyazaki’s work is truly something to behold. The little details in his art, the characters, the story— it all comes together to make a world I can’t help but get sucked into.

This was a bit disappointing to me, and I'm wondering whether I would like the movie better, except that the story is much more developed in the manga. I loved ecological themes and Nausicaä's character is lovely, like all of Miyazaki's heroines, but I found much of the action and political intrigue very difficult to follow, probably because the panels were rough, with no grey screens, and the characters looked quite similar.
I will continue since I've read that the story picks up after a few chapters, but this one was definitely a letdown for me, since it's so adored by the public.
