This book is somewhat different than most Baldacci thrillers. There were the usual turns and twists, but the story revolved around the murder and the lives of murderer and the victim. I am loving the direction Decker's story is going.

A very good classic thriller. The apartment building subplot was unnecessary but otherwise very well done.

Enjoyable crime mystery. I have been enjoying books like this lately - they are not my usual, but they are fun and they keep me guessing. Sure, parts are a bit far-fetched, and sometimes the dialogue is a bit forced, but Baldacci writes a compelling story, and I like the Amos Decker Character. I admit that, while I rarely try to figure out the "whodunit" while I am reading, this one started to become clear about 4 or 5 chapters before they figured it out. That was ok, though - it was satisfying to find out I was right about that part of the mystery. I think I will look for the other Amos Decker books now.

Narrated by Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy both enjoyable and easy to listen too.
