The audio narration really made this book great, especially during the primary sections of Ava speaking to the police. You can tell that Ava is not wholly honest a s exaggerating details before the twist reveals itself: a large part of that is thanks to the fantastic job the narrator did with inflection. This is a fun, international romp that fans of Good Girls will enjoy.

There were a couple twists, but they weren’t very twisty. I didn’t find the characters or relationships or power dynamics very believable or compelling. Ultimately was bored.
SpoilerI get that Ava was supposed to be an unreliable narrator, but even once that news was broken to the audience, I was like oh… that’s it? 60% of the book was a lie, but not a very interesting one?
