I really like Lisa Tucker, but this book was hard to get into.

Sort of confusing but a pretty good read nonetheless.

Only when The Winters loose something do they wake up and start to live again. We all need to remember to appreciate what we have and not what we've lost. Lisa Tucker brings that message home with her new novel, The Winters in Bloom. Each character grew with the story, but sometimes I was confused as to who was speaking. Even with that slight, I was able to enjoy this novel. I would recommend this story to anyone interested in thinking about their past, present and future and waking up to enjoy life.

A deep and dark look at modern families, this book will appeal to a wide audience. While not a thriller, it dark tone sets that ambiance for the family dramas to unfold. I enjoyed the plot itself but didn’t particularly like the characters which may have been the author’s intention. The book moved exceptionally slow and I had a tough time trying to “soldier through”. Parts of it require you to suspend belief because some things are so unrealistically portrayed but if you are just looking for a toss away read for a plane trip or the like, then this will suffice.
