I was hoping that this would be much more like the Lumberjanes issue "If You've Got It, Haunt It" than it was. I'm interested to read one of Tamaki's works that isn't part of an existing series, to see whether my "meh" about these novels is her handling of someone else's properties or if it's the actual writing/pacing/voice itself. I was really excited to get into Molly/Mal as the main focus, as well, but I think maybe I was expecting too much -- although I loved that the romantic angle of their relationship boils down to, "I really want her to be happy and safe," which IS absolutely romantic AS HECK.

Not nearly as good as the graphic novels.

Solid 3.5
I think I rated this one lower than the past 2 I recently read because it was just too many back to back. I enjoyed the story and it had a great moral/life lesson at the end (as always) but I just wasn't as invested in this one as the previous ones. To be fair the last book featured Ripley and she is my favorite.

Very fun and slightly spooky. The end feels a bit rushed but overall this adventure of the girls and ghosts was a nice read.
