This was cute, I really like Taichi as a character. I’m not too much of a fan of the art style of Kouhei. I’m interested to see where this goes. Sometimes I did feel a bit lost with the events happening and the time gaps between them.

From the outside, this is a really sweet and wholesome story, a slow-bloom romance between people who just chanced upon each other but looking deeper in really shows the depths of ablism within people, societal infrastructure and ourselves.
It was so nice to see his strong self-beliefs start to be broken down throughout this first volume and for him to start pushing on his little safety bubble he surrounded himself in. I really appreciated that the author showed how people either ignored him or infantilised him which is very common still in society today.
Although the author herself isn't deaf, and as I'm not hard of hearing I can not comment on that part but I do believe this is a really good depiction of the disability experience as a whole.
I hope to see this series become a stepping stone for other books about disability, especially disabled authors to share their own experiences.

I think this is really sweet and a nice story but I wasn't obsessed with anything. I am really interested to see where it goes and to develop the relationship.

The evolving relationship between a hard of hearing boy and his note taker. Ugh I love these so much. These books fit so much into so little space- family issues, deaf issues, coming out fears, education, etc. Love.
