Oh, this is my first time reading a book from this author, and i I love it!! I adore this quote a lot and relates to life too.

"Sometimes the truth just gets so big it has to get out there. Sometimes it hurts too much to keep it in.”

Thanks to the author, I've had a great time reading the book. Definitely became one of my favourite authors.

It was good. Just also weird at the same time. Could have been better 3/5

Edit: it was good. Idrk what I was talking about it being weird.

This book focuses around Ava and the company she works at, sharing their struggles within the company and with Avas personal life. As a story, I thought this was interesting and it had me hooked! I wanted to know more and I wanted to see Ava and Myles develop more as characters. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, I loved all the characters, I love their development and the story itself was a joy to read

Ava is such a strong independent woman and I love her for it! She knew exactly what she wanted and never asked for any help. When the story begun and she wanted to get pregnant on her own, I thought oh no this could be stressful! But myles was so lovely and their relationship grew and them being together was so nice to read and I loved how professional they both can be at their work place but then so loving towards each other but also their families too. I loved all the characters in this book, Avas mum was so different and I liked that ! Standing up for what she believes in is refreshing to see in a book, and Myles family having a weird dynamic was an interesting read!

this romance is marketed as an enemies-to-lovers romance BUT IT IS NOT!!! in most enemies to lovers books set in an office setting the "enemies" aspect is very tame see for example "the spanish love deception" (i know that was my 5-star read but still tame hate) and we can look past it if there's some genuine reason for people to despise each other lowkey. but here was none to be found! it all felt juvenile and boring.

the book overall is average, with not many noteworthy moments. this man was super sweet and adorable, it is unfathomable how he was a character in an enemies-to-lovers trope. yes i am so mad about this.

and the whole "dilemma" or "thing they have to overcome" was completely uncalled for. i don't want to spoil it but it just wasn't needed in this. the romance should just have been character driven with the pregnancy trope as the only plot.
