would’ve been a 4 star but Meredith is so unlikeable for 80% of the book. I think they tried making her to be a feisty woman that needs no man but it really just came across as rude, annoying and a superiority complex .

Sex work especially strippers and strip clubs are mentioned a few times and every time Simon talks about them in the most disrespectful and disgusting way, it made me incredibly uncomfortable. He’s a Germaphobe so he doesn’t like them because they’re “dirty” and “filthy”. And that’s why he got no pussy before Meredith.

(4 ⭐️) This series has been drastically improving with each book and this one takes the cake. I genuinely loved Simon and Meredith’s relationship and how the dynamic between them changed. Meredith has been my favorite heroine by far (I love a bitchy lady) and I especially enjoyed how she matched Simon’s energy, which I don’t think any of the other pairs have accomplished so far. I love an uptight silent type so Simon was already going to be up my alley. The stalking “spider” aspect was actually really interesting and added some spice. This still has some of the editing errors and overall issues that the other books have, but there was definitely an increase in quality.

OOOoooo another mafia romance for me!!

This book was great it was a mafia brat x brat tamer / pretty girl x stalker spicy romance that earned a solid 4 stars from me.

The story is about Meridith who was raised like a princess by her father and after he dies she moves away from the only she has left ( her step brother that she hates). She has no college education and isn't looking to make something out of herself, her only goal in life is to punish men, steal all their money and ruin them. When one of her mission goes wrong she goes to her brother for protection and he hands her off to his second in command Simon who has no plans of letting her go.
So simon is the MMC and he has been stalking her for 5 years under the pretense of "protecting her", an order given by her brother. But he slowly becomes obsessed with her and now that she is in his grasp he doesn't want to let her go.

Ight now for my thoughts. I'll be honest I hate brats, they annoy the fuck out of me by constantly making the situation harder for themselves. Meredith was soo annoying around the middle where she was in Simon's house. Like, to an extent I get you don't like to be trapped in but why are you going to such extents. I mean yeah this is a romance book and the consequences are probably gonna be "pleasurable" but why must you dig your grave any deeper than it already is, what if he was violent and abusive what would you have done then.

I really had to shut off my logical brain for this and just enjoy the romance which is to be fare really good. I like that he so obsessed with her and idk it might just be me but I love the trope where he is like relishing being close to her and like taking a moment to enjoy her smell/ contact to him. Idk it's just really cute and devoted.
Again I think I have said it in another review but I'll say it again. GLASSES SUPREMACY, I don't think there is anything hotter than that, being the smart tech guy is also a plus.
I'm starting to realise that all the stars I have to attribute are because of how much I was gushing over Simon, I appreciate the author's efforts in creating this perfect boyfriend material character. Honestly, I could type out so many things to gush about Simon, he is honestly the most memorable MMC I have read in the past month or so and I'm pretty sure I read over 12 books this month.

Some parts of the story were lacking but Simon made it all worth it, like I skimmed past some parts of the big fight scene
There was this one part where Simon was punishing guy for trying to hurt his family (aka Meridith)
fucking swoon
But then Meridith was on the other side talking to her brother and she had like a 1 line epiphany and she immediately forgave her brother for the 5+ year grudge she held against him. Like really it was that easy and done with???

But aside from that if I ever read this it's for all the Simon moments.
