Spent about 300 pages waiting for something to happen. Throughout those pages, Marissa and Avery seem a bit out of touch with reality. The ending, however, was thrilling, Just took most of the book to get there.

Thrillers aren't usually my genre, but I'm wondering if I should make an exception for domestic thrillers which I tend to enjoy! This was a twisted, fascinating story with a perfectly plotted ending.

Wow! This book is impossible to put down! These two authors write amazing books together! This book is filled with suspense and not knowing what is real. The ending is something I didn’t see coming at all.

I love this book because the characters are complex and hiding so many secrets. They are up front in the book about holding secrets but the reader does not know what they are. It is a wonderfully written book that will keep you engaged from the very first chapter!

3/3.5 stars. enjoyed this more than their last book, and was entertaining enough, but nothing revolutionary. i really feel like this lacked suspense. i don’t even know what to call it. it’s definitely not a thriller. honestly not really a mystery. and like i said, it lacked suspense, so not that either. is darker contemporary a thing?
