Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie: 3/5

slogged thru the first 2/3s but then it rly picked up during the last third. i feel like this is a pretty common thing that happens w sequels. idk i think im just not that invested in any of the storylines, and only care for a few of the characters. i am enjoying the strengthening bonds and character progressions so i think the last and final book of the trilogy will be a rly good one!

The second book in The First Law universe. Abercrombie writes some really remarkable gray characters with some very compulsively readable personalities. It's still unclear as to what the plot is in this series.... but I'm still happily along for the ride.
