Hadley and Cash were amazing!! They met when they were both stranded at the airport because of a blizzard and immediately clicked. They shared a beautiful night together talking and a lot more. They went their separate ways and fast forward 15 years later she’s surprisingly relocated to his hometown. He was determined this time to not let her get away. They caught up and slowly picked up from where they left off. Her daughter loved him and his family adored Hadley and her daughter. Cash also had her back when she was dealing with her parents especially her horrible mother. Hadley’s dad came around and he was actually a very nice guy. He accepted Cash and his entire family. He realized that Cash loved his daughter for who she was and not what her family has since her family is extremely wealthy. Cash relationship with Hadley’s daughter was beautiful because her dad was also great. There was some very funny moments and an all around great read. The epilogue was funny and great all wrapped in one. Can’t wait for more!!

I love the Lake Family and this story of Cash and Hadley is 'effortless'. The characters come off the page and worm their way into your heart. This book has heat, angst, love, and makes you grin at how cute these two are.

A chance encounter 15 years ago and one night of bliss leave a hole in the hearts of Cash and Hadley.

Cash is the epitome of southern charm and smoking hot looks, and Hadley comes from old Chicago money but turns her back on it when she realizes how unhappy it makes her, so when Hadley walks into the diner in Red Oak, Tennessee, the last person she expects to see is Cash Lake. But despite the time that has elapsed since their one night stand, both acknowledge that there is still something between them.

This book is such fun, the secondary characters add to the depth of the story, and make this story a wonderful read.

There is just something amazing about these Lake boys. They are the epitome of southern gentlemen, hardworking, love deeply, manners to make their mother proud, but what I love is how they find their person and don’t mind waiting patiently for them to come around. Cash met Hadley randomly at an airport and they had the best night and incredible connection that they still felt years later, but life took them in different directions, until now. When these two reconnect, Cash is willing to do whatever it takes to make Hadley his and if that means taking his tie letting her have time to figure what she wants out then he does that. He is amazing!! Hadley grew up in a wealthy family, never needing nor having to ask for anything, yet the one thing she was missing was love but now fate has shown her a different way to live and raise her daughter differently. While Hadley is figuring out her new life and the steps, she wants for herself her attraction to Cash never went away, but will they be able to find a way to make things work? The amazing connection these two had was instant but they took their time getting reacquainted, relearning each other before they just dove into something, and it was such a beautiful thing to watch as they slowly fell.

I fell in love with the Lake family when reading Serendipity, the introduction to this group. And in Effortless, we get Hadley and Cash's story, and it was fantastic!

Hadley met Cash when they were both stranded in the airport after a snowstorm. When the skies cleared, they went their separate ways, but never forgot about the other. Now, fifteen years later, Hadley showed up in Red Oak, TN to work with her Aunt Dorothy. And neither Hadley nor Cash have forgotten their time together. And they still feel attracted to each other, even after all these years.

I really loved these two together! I love Cash's confidence, and I love the strength that Hadley has developed, especially when it came to her parents. I can't wait for more!

I loved this book, couldn’t put it down! Cash and Hadley were just so perfect together, just meant to be even after all the time they were apart. I loved how easy it was for them coming back together! There was some drama from other aspects of their life’s but not with each other which I loved! I loved getting more of the Lake family- I love how close and welcoming there are and Brooklyn and Cody’s friendship was so cute! Was just so good!

Can’t wait to find out which Lake sibling to get there love story is next!!

LOVED Cash and Hadley's story! Could not put it down, read it so fast! Such a fun read, entertaining characters and just enough drama to keep the story moving. I really loved Hadley's relationship with her daughter Brooklyn, and her ex husband, Trotter. I thought how this one played out was so thoughtful and interesting with the family coming from money. Five stars!

I love that this is lightly a second chance romance between Cash and Hadley. The connection these two have is perfection and I loved how Van Wyk ties this community together. It was emotional and heartfelt. The story flowed with ease and I adored every moment of it. I needed something like this right now and it was the perfect story to make my heart sing. I am so looking forward to more from the Lake family!
