I was promised tears.
I was promised heartbreak.
I was promised love.
I was promised a good time.

What I got was disappointment.
I got laughter and not the good kind.
I got eye pain from rolling my eyes too much.

The concept of the story is great but it wasn’t greatly executed. I also read the wattpad version and not the one that’s actually published so maybe that’s were I went wrong.

But I will never know because I’m not putting myself through that torture again.

My friend bought this book, and immediately after finishing, told me to read it. I read the description, and then it immediately made its way to the top of my to-read list. From what I have read in the review section, i think that it is important to mention that I read the version published for sale, and not the original version on Wattpad. I’m fairly sure that there is a difference between them, but I am not 100% certain, as I have never read the Wattpad version.

I absolutely loved this book. First off, there is Hadley. I loved her character. Her character isn’t perfect, and she isn’t like so many other protagonists that populate ya fiction. I feel like most of the other protagonists in countless books would be too enveloped in their own problems and self pity to even consider helping out someone they barely know. And this is exactly where I was drawn to Hadley. And Archer is another great character. It’s clear to the reader right from the first few pages that Archer isn’t perfect, and it just drew me into the story even more. If there is one thing that will make me put down a book, it’s a perfect character. It seems to unreal and completely not relatable in any way, shape, or form. And to my pleasant surprise, I found no perfect characters. Archer’s family is amazingly developed, Hadley’s parents are characterized in a way that works well in the story, and everything just fits in and flows. The setting is well described and conveyed to the reader. I had a vision of what everything looked like, and was able to get that vivid image without long sentences of boring descriptions. I would definitely recommend this book, and had such a fun time reading these characters’ stories.

This story had so much potential because I really enjoyed the plot. I loved Hadley so much. She was such strong, huge-hearted girl. I was rooting for her so hard. While Archer wasn't quite as likeable, I felt for that kid. His whole family was wonderful and I loved watching all the relationships develop. I just felt like it needed a little more drama. If I was in Hadley's position, I know I wouldn't be as graceful. I definitely need a little more on this one. The narration was enjoyable too!!! Very quick listen!

I remember reading this book on Wattpad at least three times. I loved it so much I bought the actual book, but was disappointed to find that it's pretty different from the original. I understand it takes a lot of editing to get a book published, and Wattpad isn't exactly "respected". I was just bummed because the In 27 Days I remember isn't this book. Still love the overall concept and characters!

I am a sucker for cute endings ig
Let me write this when I'm not half asleep.
The book was 3.5☆ and .5☆ extra for the cute ending.
This book is written around 2011, so it had the very mediocre plot but I loved it all the same.
I liked the concept of death as a person and it was a very nice death (if it makes any sense).
Archer and hadley were very cute together♥︎
