I have to say I didn't enjoy this as much as the first one though it did redeem itself close to the end.
I guess I just didn't really understand why they got involved in the first place.
In the last book I have to say I was a big fan of Tod, even more so than Nash.
But in this one I was really surprised and how cold & selfish he was.
His total disregard for Kaylee well being was not what I expected from him at all.
And as for Kaylee & Nash I really didn't feel like their story progressed much at.
I could have done with a bit more time spent on that & on Kaylee's friendship with Emma (who is awesome) & less on descriptions of the Nether World..I do actually have an imagination, I don't need every detail spelled out to me over & over again.
Overall I really felt like this was a bit of a filler.
I will continue on the series but only if I have nothing else to get or I see it in my library. Hopefully the next installment will renew my interest in the series, cause it really did start out great.

The Original review at Gabic Reads
The general idea: We have to help a teenage pop star regain her soul. That's not dangerous at all.
Thoughts upon seeing the cover art: Oooookaaaaay. I guess the color is cool.
It made me feel: I will never be a pop star. The business takes your soul, literally.
Romance: Definitely :)
Highlight: Tod, he's awesome.
Read it if you like: Banshees, grim reapers, hellions

Of course it wasn't over after Kaylee found out she is a Bean Sidhe. No, Kaylee has to find more trouble to get into. When Kaylee and Nash go to a pop concert that is just what they find. Trouble. Soulless Trouble.
I loved the first book in this series, My Soul to Take but I didn't enjoy this as much. I'm not going to dwell to much on that because it's a second book in a series. It's a stepping stone of sorts. Vincent is just taking us in the direction we need to go.
Nash and Kaylee are great characters. Sometimes Kaylee is a little dense but that's okay because Nash is there to pick up any slack. There wasn't as much development in their relationship as I had hoped but that's okay too. We were introduced to some new side characters. All of whom I really liked. And we got to spend a lot of time with Tod. I really like Tod! I can't wait to learn more about him and the Reapers.
In this book we learned more about the Netherworld. And what a creepy place that is! I'm happy Kaylee is brave enough to go there because I don't think I would! I'm still 100% behind this concept! The Soul Screamers idea is genius. It's new been done before. Which is getting harder and harder to say!
I'm looking forward to My Soul to Keep next summer. I also hope we get to learn a little more about what happened in My Soul to Lose eventually.

I give this one a 3.5
I wasn't too impressed with it in the long run. I really enjoyed the parts between Kaylee and Nash. It took me a little bit to read this because for some reason it just couldn't hold my attention like the first book did. So, I'm hoping the next one is better because I've heard so many things about this series that tells me it's great, and with the first one I see it has potential but this just did not float my boat.

I am honestly so disappointed in this book as a sequel. It is ruined by the sex crazed Nash and Kaylee, who are literally plotting to cross into the Nether and possibly face imminent death for a dead guy's ex girlfriend who sold her soul, and all they do is make out every second they get to be alone.
Nash was needy in the first book and the second is just... Ugh. It's like the author recreated him altogether. I am not happy.
Tod is great as always. My favorite lines consist of "damnit Tod!".
I don't know... I honestly just can't get past the fact that half of the scenes were ruined by Nash and Kaylee's hormones.
This definitely did not live up to the rep of its predecessor.

This book took me a while to read and a while to get into. I liked it, but it let me down. I don't know if it was me or the book but I found that I had a hard time reading it because of my lack of interest. This book did turn out to be really good, and even managed a few tears to be brought to my eyes. I am ready for the next one and hopefully it will be better! Even though I had a rough time reading this book I did end up liking it and thinking it was a lot better then I expected. I hope the next one will be better and that I have an easier time reading it!
