Loved this book! It's a book about psychology, relationships, and our relation with death told in the setting of time travel and a murder mystery. Incredible ensemble of believable characters. Almost all characters are women and the main romantic relationship is queer, and both are done in a way that feels entirely natural.

I‘m not entirely sure how I feel about this book but it’s an interesting concept, different than I expected (not in a bad way) & mysterious

I struggled to remember how all the characters were related (especially once I found out

Fay was Ginger‘s daughter - I still don’t fully understand that; it seems to be a coincidence that neither Ruby nor Fay are aware of?

) but I still enjoyed the book

I think there were a couple of (minor) inconsistencies, or maybe I just didn’t understand everything - both of which is probably inevitable in a book about time travel + this is a debut novel, so if anything it’s really impressive

SO BORING. The writing is dull, the characters are flat and one dimensional, and the plot was very meh.  This very much feels like a classic debut novel to me - overdeveloped plot with underdeveloped writing.
