Great book Thanks Simone awesome pressie - think the thing that sticks out the most in this book is not the dreams that led this woman to Jesus - But the importance of living & walking 24/7 day by day with Jesus - living a life of love, faith, trust & obedience.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Fascinating and really well-written autobiography. I would definitely read this again in the future.

While this book was amazing and inspiring in a lot of ways, and also made me cry, there are some questionable theological moments as well. Some of Bilquis's experiences I would interpret differently than she did, and others I just don't how to explain at all, but I think her love for God and intense desire to obey Him really outshines everything questionable in the book.
Did Jesus really come to her in a vision and tell her it was time to get baptized? I don't know, but I love that her reaction was to search the Scriptures and see if this was something Jesus really would want her to do. Does baptizing yourself count as a valid baptism? In my opinion no, but she did it out of an enthusiasm for prompt obedience, and also received a 'proper' baptism soon after, so it doesn't seem harmful.
Highly recommended for most readers, just use some theological discernment as reading.

Amazing testimony from Bilquis Sheikh. Really eye opening on what it like for Christians converting from Islam in the Islam community, and the persecutions/trials one may face. Also some really great points Bilquis brings up on what it means to follow Christ wholeheartedly. 100% recommend.
Also love reading a testimony from a women, not because I’m a feminist but more because I can relate to the struggles/emotions in this book a lot more…
