This was really cute and fun. I had a goofy smile on my face for probably 80% of the book. The other 20% I was face-palming because the FMC’s overthinking spiral was so cringy and difficult to get through. That being said, it was sooo relatable. Aren’t things that hit close to home more difficult to read?
If you’re looking for a cute, funny, read in one sitting book that will give you butterflies, this is the one!

3.5! I really enjoyed the story and the open communication. Kendall is a romance reader so her character makes fun of the different romance tropes, specifically miscommunication. I think this book has a lot of potential. I wanted to know more about the character’s lives and background.

I read this book on YONDER.

Needless to say, I managed to finish the whole thing and I absolutely loved it. It was self aware, cute, and also quite the fun and steamy read. I loved how Kendall and Vincent's relationship was in the book between reading poetry and getting to know a bit more about one another. And the steaminess was both hot,
Spoilerthe bookstore scene and the party scene were definitely the two that stood out to me. I absolutely loved the first time scene as well
and also had realism at times too.

Diversity wise is a bit complicated. Even though Nina and Harper are not the main focuses of the story, Nina is latina and Harper is black. I think the only issue that I did have was that the self awareness did annoy me a little bit as it went on, but it was very tiny in terms of that, I still loved the book overall.

That being said, I can't wait to check out the rest of what Annie Crown and her works.
