It’s a 3.5 rounded up. I really loved the humour and the kafkaesque storytelling in the first one so, naturally, I had to read the second one! And although I have to say that I enjoyed the first one more - more dry humour - this one was a very pleasant read as well. In his books Jonas Jonasson manages to grasp the zeitgeist of the time the 101 year old lives in beautifully - and with the sequel being set in 2017, it is not only relatable but brings back memories and made me think about how I experienced that particular year. I loved the commentary on politics and how the author portrayed what was going on in the world at the time. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Jonas Jonasson’s style of writing and enjoys the odd slap of dark, dry humour. Lovely read for cozy autumn nights

Not as good as the first but still as funny when you get back into Allan Karlson's world of accidental antics.

I would like to give it a 3.5 stars but yeah, I'll just go with the 4 instead. The book was about the return of another misadventures of grandpa, or great grandpa and his pals, which he picked up along the way to wherever he might end up. Only this time, grandpa was possessed by a black tablet 😂
It was a fun read though the first book was funnier. But this one still make me chuckle along the way.

Als je het vergelijkt met het eerste boek (de 100-jarige man die uit het raam klom en verdween) dan valt dit boek erg tegen. Lang niet zo grappig en veel te politiek verhaal. Jammer...

The book tells of many real life people but at times can be slow to read at first. As the Book went on it got better with the adventures and became more easy to read.
