Oh my gosh. This was so cute!! I love sports romance, but really don't enjoy hockey, so this was super refreshing for me. I loved the main characters (even if I did experience second hand embarrassment, and want to yell at them sometimes), and really loved reading about the relationship that they did have. The family dynamics in this book are amazing, and I love how close the MMC is with all of his siblings. It just made the entire book that much better!

*SPOILERS*
I thought there was going to be a third act break up. It was almost a dnf, I was so upset about it. That being said - they didn't break up. I didn't love that they 'went on a break,' but there are worse things that could've happened. That is the only reason I wouldn't give this book 5 stars, because it was otherwise entirely flawless!

Very forgettable book imo but I did enjoy it as a light read at my time of reading. It's been a week since I finished this book and I can't remember anything after they became a couple. Honestly, I enjoyed their first meeting and chemistry while pinning more than them being a couple (which is rare for me). I did love Bex's character in the beginning but thought that she lost a lot of her spark and fire after settling into a relationship but ig it's normal once you find the person you are comfortable with.

Now that I've read the other books in the series (till book 3), I can say that I find this the weakest of them all and that I prefer this couple as side characters in the other books (in one or two chapters).

[this is my first actual review of here so..... yay :)]

A nice, easy and light-hearted story. Perfect quick summer read. Love the siblings too so thrilled it's a series with a book for each of them!

men. why are men. why do girls always have to deal with em. bless the author for adding the bonus chapters to the kindle edition. cherry on top. tho it had me sweating when things were getting heated and i still had 25% of the book left lol

First Down was a cute, steamy sports romance that easily accomplished what it set out to do.

This book was cute, but it wasn’t stellar. I had some issues with a few character choices, and wish there had been more development on the side characters, but James and Bex were very cute together.

I will definitely keep the rest of the series in mind when I need another palette cleanse. 3 stars.
