Weird and interesting with a twist I did not see coming.
In a world of time manipulation, where the dead enter into "half life" and where security is defined as protecting yourself and your company from psychics. Anti-Psychics are hired for protection and Glen Runciter owns a top Anti-psychics security company.
When he and his A team of anti-psychis are ambushed by a rival company, the team is in a race against time to get Raunciter into half life, and find out why their world seems to be falling apart.
This was a great sci-fi book!

I got this as a blindate with a book. It was a fast read that just left me thinking. First of many P.K.D books I will be reading.

Precog (Precognitivi) e Teeps (e telepati) sono affrontati da un uomo che si serve di altri individui dai poteri Psi e viene consigliato da una moglie ibernata in uno stato di semi-vita in una clinica specializzata in Svizzera.Ibernato vicino a lei c'è un ragazzo che sottrae energia vitale ai suoi compagni in semi-vita. C'è una ragazza in grado di modificare il passato e c'è una trama che da fantascientifica finisce per essere...
A discapito di quello che si pensa, Philip K. Dick ha avuto poche esperienze con le droghe, ma dalle poche volte che ha preso LSD ha tratto ispirazione per la stesura di alcuni dei suoi romanzi più noti e apprezzati. Credo che Ubik sia uno di questi anche se non sono così sicuro.
Si fondono perfettamente paranormale e tecnologia, vita e non vita, tutto viene messo in dubbio, le certezze crollano insieme a tutto il resto. La decomposizione della mente non si riesce a distinguere da quella dell'universo.
Uno dei due piani di realtà è in continuo decadimento e si trasforma inesorabilmente, l'altro è ispirato allo stato di sospensione del Bardo Thodol.

Weeeeird. Interesting concept, enjoyed the book, but it was a little too abstract. All the story elements were there, though. Liked it, didn't love it.

Interesting idea and world, but so boring and I know it is a short book, but it felt too disjointed and did not grab me enough to keep me interested and keep reading. I can see why someone might like this, but not for me
