I loved this book! I think it's a great sequel to Beasts of Prey. It was a little less action packed than the first one, but it was still fun and added a lot to the world building! I'm very excited to see what will happen next!

Though I didn’t love this one as much as Beasts of Prey, I’m still interested in continuing the series. I think it suffered from classic middle book problems and didn’t hold my attention as much as book 1. Koffi & Ekon each have separate plot lines within this book, and I think I was deeply missing their chemistry on the page together in scenes. That said, I did enjoy some of the new characters introduced as well as the revelation of new information given at the end of this one.

While I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, I think I'm still interested enough to pick up the third book when it comes out.
