Just a sweet book , no angst, I was wondering the whole time why they broke up in the first place and you don’t find out until the end

Reading this book felt like I was in the small town they are in. The traditions that the town has really felt like they are such a small town community where everyone knew everyone.
This book is the second book in the heartbreak brothers series by Carrie elks. It’s about savannah and tanner, in this book you would see how their relationship had evolved from childhood friends to stranger to meeting again in their town to being back to friends to lovers. Both characters has own stories that makes them vulnerable, however savannah struggles with it the most. Apart from the romance between characters there’s also the other whole story about their families and the town.
Overall I enjoyed this book I would rate it 4/5⭐️. If you are into small town romance and childhood friends to lovers give this a read

I’ve been waiting to read this book since I read the first in the series, and fell in love with Tanner.
Tanner and Van’s story is not only glorious, but heartbreaking at times. Their shared history goes back to when they were kids, and their connection is wonderful. Throughout this book, the characters and their relationships, both romantic and otherwise, shine through. The way Elks has written them makes them feel real and makes me want to be their friend.
Now, I need Logan’s story!

So disappointed. Was loving the story until the drive-in opening. Like they didn’t know when the drunk a-hole mother came tromping in that she was gonna start problems, but instead of carrying her out and taking her home, they allowed her to act like a douche and ruin the whole grand opening. And then she magically wants to go to rehab and everything’s sunshine and rainbows. Nope. And I’m also annoyed that it took that long to find out what happened at Duke. Was annoyed with Van for being upset. Like you dumped him and lied. He texted for you to come with the rest of your friends to see him, you didn’t respond, then randomly show up and get upset and don’t even talk to him cuz he slept with someone else. I understand that they were supposedly in love, but they were also dumb kids, so honestly, he didn’t do anything wrong, and she had no right to be upset and not talk to him for a decade.
