this is probably my least favorite book from the death series. that might be because it took me more than two months to finish this because of exams and such. i really liked that it focused on talking about the things that make us human- but im still confused about the philosophy. anyways, reaper man is still my favorite.

And a marvelous Time was had by all. I particularly enjoy the Discworld rereads where it's only the second time through, and there are details I've forgotten that I get to discover all over again. Plotty bits, of course, but also just fun parts: transportation by Yeti, save points mirroring the video game sense of the term, the combat value of chocolate. The consideration of what it is to be human, as much bad as good, and vice versa, and how these traits work in personification of ideas, sprinkled throughout a cast that is considerably less human overall...I think Hogfather is the other book I know for certain features Susan Sto Helit. Might have to make that my next reread. I'd completely forgotten that we met the history monks anywhere outside of Night Watch, it was lovely to retroactively feel like I was getting more background on Lu Tze. Could see owning this one as well, the library has the collectors hard cover edition, and it's pretty! 😍

PTerry does time and an attempt to stop time forever, features Susan Sto-Helit and many more favourites, plus a possible romance.

A few different cooky POV characters doing their own thing, eventually meet up to save big T Time.
The second Terry Pratchett book I read, I preferred Going Postal but this one is no slouch.
