I was NOT expecting to like this book as much as I did. It had a little of everything— romance, suspense, thoughtfulness. There were points where I audibly gasped, which doesn’t happen very often for me. This was a rare book where I hated to put it down and once I did, was thinking about it until I could pick it back up again. A great vacation read! Definitely put this one on your list.

All the stories came together well. I liked the descriptions of what could have been, had characters made other choices.

I often listen to books at work, as well as have the print to read when I can't listen. Gets me through books faster. Anyhow, I believe the UK version & the US version are a bit different. I was listening to one version, while reading another. Some paragraphs were in the audio that weren't in the print & vice versa. Also, the name of the school principal was different between the two versions. No matter. Excellent book! Intriguing story & really makes you think. I couldn't put it down!

3.5. Not as engrossing as Big Little Lies, but still good.

This book was an interesting read. I love that it covers the perspectives of multiple people and I especially love how they all end up tied together at the end of the book. Definitely read all the way to the end because it's a journey getting there.

The frazzled suburban housewives of Australia come to life perfectly here as they always do in Moriarty's hands. I find her books easy and fun to read and they seem realistic and outrageous at the same time. It's an amazing balance.

In my experience her books are page turners that are not taxing in the least but still satisfying.
