A solid fun read. Such a cool memoir concept to write the sections without consulting the other. Probably topically less interesting if you didn’t already know of Joseph and Meg and their work. Found reading about their relationship stressful at times, but sweet and lovely at others.

It was funny to see a relationship being told in tandem. I enjoyed it but wasn't overly involved.

*I received a digital review copy from NetGalley & the publisher*

I've been a fan of Welcome to Night Vale for years and have been able to see the show tour a few times so this was a must read book for me and it didn't disappoint! In it, we get to learn about the relationship between Joseph Fink (creator of WTNV) and Meg Bashwiner (a frequent performer on WTNV) from each of their own point of views. I'm sure this format has been done before but here it feels refreshing and unique. Both writers are able to weave in their own issues, anxieties, and life choices while talking about their life choices and it still feels cohesive given the format. A quick and easy read, perfect for podcast fans and young adults.

“To love two places is to always live in longing for the other.” How true is that. What a beautiful book about the realities of being in a relationship. It must have been pretty hard to write all that so props to them. It’s also so very well written especially at the start. Really resonates with you

This was a really sweet story especially as an audiobook. I've been single for 12 years and it definitely shows as I was reading through their honest portrayals of being in a relationship with humanly imperfect human beings. Very sweet. Content warning for eating disorders, body image, and anxiety but also portrayed in a very realistic way.
