this was such an educational read that had so many important discussions and really enlightened me about the marginalised groups in america! also the obamas are seriously so cute, reading abt their family dynamics and what life is like in the White House was so interesting! overall such a good read!

Michelle Obama ist einfach eine sehr inspirierende Frau. Schon in jungen Jahren begann sie sich zu engagieren . Ihre Geschichte zu lesen war sehr inspirierend und ermutigend. Nur fällt es mir schwer, solche Bücher zu bewerten, weil sie ja das Leben eines Menschen sind. However, ich denke, jedes Mädchen kann sich sie zum Vorbild nehmen und nach Großem streben.

A big story of a remarkable life
I don't think I was in the right mindset to take on a deeply detailed autobiography or I might have given this book five stars. Lots of great detail and insight into the inner workings of politics, and a ton of very real looks at what it's like to be a woman and wife and mother, especially with so many eyes on you. It's real and funny and sad and sweet.

although i am very ignorant towards politics, i have always seen michelle robinson as an inspiration. getting insight to her world was so interesting. i really do admire her, even if i don't agree with her all the time. very well written, usually memoirs can be such a bore.
