I really liked it , but didn't love it ! 4 Stars

Can I just say the cover is .... super great !!
with that being said , I've never read a Vi Keeland book before . Egomaniac was my first read by her so I didn't know exactly what to expect . if anything I might've gotten my hopes so high . I really really liked the story , and I loved Drew . but I didn't love it . It seemed to drag on a lot and a few times I got bored , waiting for the story to pick back up . I did love this book , hence the Four star rating and it was totally hot !! The chemistry between Drew and Emerie had the pages melting !! ;) Very erotic . I highly recommend , and I personally want to read more from this author !

“És o vermelho no meu mundo a preto e branco”.

I was nicely surprised. I've read some novels by Vi Keeland before and they were all the same. While in Egomaniac she still clings to the poor little rich boy hero we have more realistic problems, slow building romance, cute kid as side character, and all the right choices again. And some groveling if the mistakes were made.

So far picking my reads from Goodreads Choice Awards Nominees has turned out as good decision. Lets hope my luck holds. 😉

Another day, another Vi Keeland book.

It's the first one from her that I read this year and it was good.
The two man characters have undeniable chemistry and Drew just doesn't have a filter, he comes out strong with his words and that's the way he is.

I really enjoyed the banter between the two main characters, it was good, and close proximity usually works very well for me in books, this time it was no exception. I've also come to notice that with her books we always get some back story from the male lead, some chapters from the past that help us figure out what happened to make him more closed off or against relationships etc. I'd say it was pretty obvious from the beginning what had happened but that didn't take away from the experience of the book.

But, even though I really enjoyed the story, especially the last stretch, Drew made some comments that I found bad like, even though his ex-wife was not a good person and was just interested in his money, there was no need to mention she used to dress like a slut or whatever, there were two or three comments somewhere in the book that made me want to punch Drew, but overall it was another entertaining read from the author.

4 stars.

Great story filled with humor, wit and fun banter. All the great words and emotions you come to expect from this authors work. Although a majority of the book is pretty light, there are a few more serious/emotional issues at play. This book starts with a bang and finishes with one... and lets not forget all the sexy steamy scenes in between. ;) The characters are fun and have real emotions. He is wealthy, but doesn't come across as one of those cocky billionaires who think they can buy anyone or anything. He has his own issues he has to deal with and doesn't hide them. (Though it does take a little while to open up.) He's crass and usually says whats on his mind. She's smart and strong and can hold her own, yet still has a innocence/naivety about her. She has her own issues, but nothing as dramatic as his. It's so well written, reads easily. Alternating POV's. Due to the sexual content I would recommend this for mature readers.
