One of the best books I have read of all time. Breathtaking. I am at a loss for words. This book changed something in me as a writer and reader. This book inspired, tore down, and created everything I thought I knew about a story. I am speechless. What a journey. Reading this book is something I will not forget anytime soon. You have out done yourself, Leigh Bardugo. Until next time.

I direly wish to know nothing of Ketterdam, the world of Grisha and the six young thugs I've grown so attached to. This series broke me and pieced me together in no describable way.

I make it a rule to only review the first book of a series, unless one of the other books in the same series stood out either positively or negatively.

I couldn’t decide whether Crooked Kingdom stood out in a good or bad way; reading it mostly felt like a chore, but then again I did enjoy a huge chunk of the book. The problem is I couldn’t bring myself to care, as I was just over the characters and the whole story.

Would I recommend the duology? Yes.
Do I still think it should’ve been a standalone? Definitely.
