"He'd drink to the whole sorry lot of them, but mostly to the poor fools who didn't know what trouble was coming."
What a book. I can truly say that this was the best sequel I have ever read in my entire life, it made me laugh, cry, worry and literally pish my pants.
I have to say that I 100% prefer Crooked Kingdom to its sister Six Of Crows, as it only expanded the characters and developed them and made me love every single one of them.
(even Matthias... yes, who I claimed to have hated)
This was everything you could ask for, and an impeccable end to their tale, I really hope that Leigh has the sense to leave their stories here.
First off... WYLAN AND JESPER. literally the loves of my life Omfg.
This sequel actually had me in bits over Nina and Matthias.. and poor baby Matthias's weak ass death (AFTER ALL THAT LEIGH, YOU KILL HIM WITH A SINGLE BULLET? WEAK.)
(still cried like a bitch though.)
I found myself loving every character more, and with the return of My queen Zoya and my absolute FAVOURITE Genya, who rocks an eyepatch like nobody's business.
There's no words to describe my intense love for Inej and Kaz, the twisted two who are forever in my heart and soul, especially Inej, that beautiful, tight rope walking cunt.
this was a long ass rant, but I'm certain that this was one of the best books I've ever read.
NOW I CAN FINALLY WATCH GHE SHOW FUVK YEAHHHH

i lowkey teared up a little (a lot). a perfect second part to the casts little crimes and it's a great resolution to all of the main characters arcs, their growth and their wishes. the only negative thing i have to say is that i thought the middle part felt very slow and i had to take a few more breaks than usual but other than that, i do enjoy everything else about this book.
