This book did not go in the direction I thought it would when I started it. Next, I truly believe the description should include a trigger warning. I found the scene to be intense, wondering how far the author was going to take it.

Jack and Sophie danced around their past for so long I was wondering if she would ever tell him why she left. I was surprised, that knowing there was a possible threat to Rafe and Donnie, Sophie would not have been running to Jack with the information.

I did like the main characters together. I actually liked all of the characters, except or the villain. I have to say he was a well written villain.

I would have liked the last chapter or epilogue to have provided more information regarding the aftermath of the last gym scene. There had to be fallout. What happened with Emma? What was her reaction? How did Sophie react immediately after it was all said and done? What did Jack have to endure? What were Ben and Livvie's reactions? This was a fairly small town. What happened when all of this came to light? I felt like I got all the details of the initial incident, yet I didn't get the details of the conclusion.

Such an emotional book!! Survivor has a little bit of military in it which I love and it's dual POV with past and present views. My favorite! There hasn't been one book from Nicole that I don't love to be honest. One of my favorite authors and this series keeps getting better! This is the 2nd book in the series...you won't be disappointed!

Can I say I was emotionally caught up in the beginning of the story? Yet, another second chance story and I actually enjoyed it. Not my top favorite but I love what Nicole did with Jack and Sofie.

From the very beginning, I didn't understand what was going on and when their past was told I was curious to see what tore them apart and what would happen in the present. Survivor did not disappoint in the realm of mystery and there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming, yay!

We first meet Jack and Sofie as strangers to another. Sofie left years ago due to tragedy and what brings her back is a tragedy. However, it's also what makes her stay. When they were first together Jack is coming back from boot camp (Marine) and Sofie and his family are waiting for his arrival at the airport. Their introduction as a couple was sweet and short and made you understand how deep their love was for another. Then, tragedy strikes and Sofie leaves.

Without giving too much away, I loved how Nicole was able to intertwine present with the past and still be cohesive. Now, do I have closure for everything that occurs? Mostly, I still have some unanswered questions, but it's like an 'eh whatever' deal for me.

It comes full circle for Jack and Sofie as they are the focal point of this book and I'm glad Nicole didn't muddle it down with unrelated details that steered from them.

I flew through this and I didn't think I would. I didn't read the first book in the series, so I had no expectations. Luckily all the titles are standalone reads, so you're not missing a beat if you just want to pick and choose.

If you want some hot Marine in your life who is as sweet as pie and a girl who realizes she is strong and head over heels for her man, then this is it. I would recommend this for a quick read.

**I received this book from the author in exchanged for a honest review.**

You do get to see Jack and Sofie in Warrior. Jack is Olivia's brother and Ben's best friend. Sofie is Olivia's bestfriend.
This book will touch on a few triggers for you so be prepared.

Sofia and Jack at first glance seem like they can't stand each other but in reality the love each other. After suffering a tragedy Sofie moves because she feels like if she cant love herself how can the only man she ever loves love her. Jack doesn't know the reason why she left him. He knows she is keeping something from but he will give her time. Now back in town and raising her teenage brothers she can't run from her past and feelings anymore. Jack realizes that he has never stopped loving Sofie and do whatever it takes to get her back.

This one touched a little to close to gome for me. I laughed and i cried. I wanted to throw my kindle because Sofie is just so stubborn. If she had just told him the truth from the get go he would understand and 10 years wouldn't have gone by. I mean it kept her from her family. Her brothers barely like her, but they love Jack. Now he is one amazing man. He is patient and loves her with a passion that hasn't dimmed in 10 years. I was intriqued and loved this book from the beginning.

Tragic but lovely story about two broken main characters… she has so much courage wished she opened up much earlier to get the tragedy out of her head but everyone deals with his/her problems differently! She is a strong woman and I really adored her. He should have made more effort to get her back. But I don’t know how I would react if my heart where broken like his… so it is a good story with all the feels.
