I absolutely adored Auggie. All the PoV characters were lovable and I really enjoyed the framing of the narrative. The message and themes were accessible for middle grade audiences and still important and relevant to more seasoned readers.

I have always been told this book was good but honestly never really thought it would be, it just always seemed like one of those books that has a character with some type of physical issue and though the story itself is bland everyone cries because oh the poor boy. However, I have finally decided to read it after pushing it back over and over again and I'm so glad I have finally read it because holy cow is it great! I like how even though it is a kids book, it doesn't really hold the reader's hand and also the writing really puts you into the mind of whoever is talking at the moment. Overall, a fantastic read, probably my third favorite this year (that sounds low but I swear it's not!) and was even close to tears at one point - and not because oh the poor boy.

I thought it was really sad when
Daisy died, at first I thought she was giving birth.
But it was a really great book, at some times it made me want to cry.

Wonder is very sweet, especially if you're looking for a quick book to remind you of the good in the world. It's been a while since I read a middle grade book and I'm happy to have picked this one up :)
