Very tough going but I finished the book. The beginning was very slow and boring, the middle was so so and the end was packed with adrenaline and action. In the end I would say the book was a good read if you have the patience to make it through the beginning and middle.

I am a sucker for "archaeological" fiction, and that is why picked this one up at King Soopers on a grocery trip once. However, as expected, it wasn't that good. It had potential, but the story just never developed. The main character just seemed to go to place to place with no rhyme or reason, and very often learned very little of the "mystery" she was trying to solve. She appeared to just bumble into everything--trouble, people, and the solution. And, apparently, she has long, tanned, legs--the author told that to me a lot.

Entertaining, as all Graphic Audio productions tend to be, bringing the story alive.

Action packed and fast paced Solomon's Jar follows Annja Creed on another adventure, from Jerusalem to Greece to Rio de Janeiro. We revisit some of the characters in the previous book and meet a few new ones on the way, friends and enemies, both.

Sometimes the background music was a liiittle too much, but all in all the actors did a pretty good job narrating.

Fun series!

Annja Creed seems more comfortable in her skin as God's chosen new holder of Joan of Arc's sword. She still struggles with believing in the supernatural, but she decides to try and find the Solomon's jar, which appears to have been found at sea. This search takes her to the Netherlands where she meets a British archeologist, and they are not the only ones in search for the jar as they fight off the Russian mafia, cultists and other fanatics that want to get their hands on the artefact.

I liked this story better than the first, probably because the plot was clearer. Nevertheless, I felt it ended in a odd way and too fast after so much time running after the jar. I enjoyed that Annja had a companion for this story that kept her company and helped her feel more secure of herself. As always, the audiobook by Graphic Audio is awesome.
