"A phantom, twisting and hiding as I reach for her, forever slipping out of my grasp."

Three Little Lies was my first Laura Marshall book. I have Friend Request, but I haven't had a chance to read it. For the most part, Three Little Lies was pretty captivating to me - I was curious about what happened to Sasha, wondering who could be trusted, and really enjoying the drama.

This book had an excellent build-up, but it kind of fell apart for me at the end. It went in a direction that I really don't care for, and every time I've seen this direction recently, I've become incredibly frustrated with the book. I think this certain storyline can actually be harmful, and I've seen it show up a couple times recently. I'll stop talking about this now, so I don't give anything away, but you can message me if you want more info.

This was a slow burn, which I don't always like, but I still enjoyed this one. This book jumps back and forth between time periods & characters, and the high school scenes felt pretty relatable. The chapters about school and the parties brought back memories - good and bad. I also felt like the dynamic between Ellen, Sasha, and Karina when they were younger was pretty understandable.

If you like books like Pretty Little Liars, All These Beautiful Strangers, The Lying Game, etc., it may be worth checking out this book. I just had some issues with one of the storylines that I can't look past.

★★★☆
Ellen and Sasha have been friends since their teenage years and now share a flat in London. One night Sasha goes missing and Ellen thinks that her disappearance might be connected to a rape case they testified at when they were teenagers. While searching for her best friend ,Ellen soon realizes that Sasha might be keeping secrets that put her and now Ellen’s life in danger

Three Little Lies is my second book by Laura Marshall which I thoroughly enjoyed but maybe not as much as Friend Request. This was more of a domestic thriller than a suspense novel told from multiple point of views but easy to follow . Even though a slightly predictable ending ,it was an entertaining read and will look forward to reading more by Laura Marshall

I would like to thank Grand Central Publishing & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

I'm not saying the book was bad, I enjoyed some parts of it. I just suppose I had my own expectations before I opened the book and I couldn't really get away from those.

Who knows, maybe it's YOUR sort of book? Only one way to find out...
