Ugh don’t read this. It’s white cis capitalist liberal nonsense. It says it’s meant to be written in a way that people of various backgrounds can see themselves, but that really just means white cis rich straight women. It’s just bad.

Winter 2019;

I really didn't mean to pick up this book at all and suddenly I just had. It was on the table at my best friend's house when I walked in and I hooked on the words new erotica, feminist, and equal pay, and this is all you need to know so that you should be running for it, too.

It's hilarious, tongue-in-cheek feminism and commentary all along the way. It's worth reading it out loud. It's worth owning, and making sure that every girl/woman in your life own a copy as well. Do it. Go now.

I laughed out loud. I read it in 30 minutes. It pointed out microaggressions that all women suffer in an amusing way. The resources at the end were perfect.

A short, sweet and very funny book. I love how this tied in all of our feminist desires with innuendos, as well as raising real issues in such a smart and concise way. Finished it in a few hours and it gave me a good giggle!

This was a wonderful little ditty about feminism as told through satirical erotica. I loved the rewriting of some classic stories where the women gets the short end of the stick, particularly Romeo & Juliet. So good. Enjoy this book for what it is, a little softness and laughter around the edges of hard times.

A series of short vignettes that feature gender equality. These short stories are hilarious, but sometimes infuriating (that these are all still fantasies and not real life); and each one will ultimately inspire you to take action.

Best Quote: "There's nothing sexier than love, lust, and equal pay."

I enjoyed the premise here, and a few of these got a chuckle out of me & made me stop and take a photo, but I was a bit disappointed by how much of the satire felt SO basic / broad / surface-level & lacking in creativity, and how formulaic the setups for most of these were.

The best of these might cause you to crack a smile or chuckle at the #relatable content. The worst are obvious, repetitive, and just not that funny. The authors come at certain actual political topics, and certain pop culture elements, from angles that are just...odd.

Also, as with those mildly amusing (then increasingly annoying) "Porn for Women" books of yore, I feel the need to point out that the idea erotica for this feminist would have, you know, some actual fucking in it.
