Loved this! The cast of characters was great, even if we were away from Sanctuary and Bain and Ari had me in their grip from page one 🫶🏻

I do think the stalker plotline got a bit ridiculous towards the end, so it's not a full five stars, but I'm loving how much more plot we've been getting from the recent books!

It was probably the most boring in the series so far, but still interesting enough and well written enough to be enjoyable.

I can't believe I read these... short, sharp, alpha, daddy-kink - happy ever after. For my sanity please don't tell librarian I read this... and all the other ones in the series too...

Bain has long been a favorite of mine. He's grumpy, distant, and not here for your crap. I've always had a thing for those slightly gruff standoffish types. So, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one and see what type of girl was going to turn him into the cuddly teddy bear I knew was hiding inside. That girl is Ari. She is like Bain in the way that she hides herself behind a cold facade. Maybe together they can let down those walls and find the happiness they both deserve.

This story had all the emotional ups and downs that I love so much in Ms. Roberts's books. It's easy to feel compassion towards Ari. I wanted to wrap her in my arms as badly as Bain did. The tenderness he shows her, made all the sweeter because she's unaware of it, will melt even the coldest heart. As sweet as the love story is, there is still the mess that Ari needs to be rescued from. It's the whole reason for Bain being in her life, after all. That part of the story had me wanting to punch some people. It's this emotional connection that makes this one so good. When you combine that with the sexy scenes and the HEA, you can't go wrong.

Another thing that I love about this one is the new characters that get introduced. I know there's going to be a story there, and I can't wait.

Best yet.

I've read every one of these books and the story of Bain and Ari is my favorite so far. Great!

so adorable!!

Love how Ari calls Bain shrek (an ogre). Love the way the love develops with these two, it is not instantaneous but gradual. Love that Bain found his forever and Arianna found her knight. Very good read!

Been waiting for Bain’s story and now I’ve got several more new favs!

I typically avoid stories with too much family drama, but I’ve been sucked into the Montana Daddies storyline so I persevered through the awfulness experienced by the heroine (Ari) in this book. I will say if you’ve got a torrid family history this one might hit close to home for you in the reels. I fell for Bain a couple books back so I’m so glad he got his happy ending. The gentle giant brute is on my hawt list, and I enjoyed the gentle play between the hero and heroine. But now I’ve got another character on my radar, Dominic (I like them experienced and damaged), so I hope to see him get a happily-ever-after too. Plus, get ready for a couple of hot triad character introductions, I’m on my way to download those desert princes too!

Bain is an ogre but also a gentle giant. He is extremely protective and very much a rule follower. The perfect person for Ari, a famous singer who is so sweet and caring in a world so cruel. People take advantage of her and he’s going to end that immediately.

IN LOVE! They are such a great match. Ari deserves attention and love & Bain showers her with it. He seems like a huge grouch but is actually so sweet and caring. *Love that he cares for her during her period.* SWOON
