What a great female vampire story!

I loved how short it was, and after finishing it I sat there going, 'this book deserves a new film or a remake of that Hammer film'. I want it gothicesque; lush locations; creepy bedroom scenes; and blood, give me that blood.

If I wrote a summary it would ruin this short story (which I read under an hour) so I just will say that if you love vampire stories and you're wanting something focusing on females instead of males, read this book.

I enjoyed this significantly more than Dracula. Its storytelling was much more succinct, and the scenes of horror more affecting. It also felt very much like a hammer horror.

Good book, but the deus ex machina in the final is boring
