Again, there is a lot of missing things I feel. Also in this volume Neipht says, " I was saved by someone with powers similar to yours 20 years ago." In the first volume, they say the last Shepard was seen over 200 years ago. I've played the game so I know the game had a similar plothole, but have the sense to overlook that detail and fix it in this retelling.

I really liked the scene with Hellion!Rohan with the moon, it was really thematic.

In this telling, I can see Sorey becoming tainted with malevolence so easily. He keeps taking more burdens on himself and his anxieties are bringing a lot forth.

I liked how we get to see more of Alisha's internal struggle between her royal duties and her desire to stick with Sorey and team. The game took a much different approach with this, wherein Sorey outright tells Alisha she's not good enough to be a squire. I think this is a difference that worked well for the manga version.
Mikleo's character arc was done so much justice; he is hands down one of the best characters in this multimedia series.
And Edna! Who doesn't love that ball of sunshine.

The mangaka attempted to add in more information detailing the Windriders and Rose and Dezel's past, but, just like the game, there wasn't enough detail to figure out what the heck went on. Therefore, the emotional beats were not as effective, thought this was a problem with the story from the beginning, and not necessarily the manga's fault.

I would say not to bother with this manga if you've played the game (which I have). It doesn't add anything too drastic to the story overall. The whole theme of 'your answer' is beaten over the head, though I'm pretty sure that's how it was in the game too. Unless you intend to play the game, I wouldn't even recommend this manga as your sole experience. The volumes are so damn expensive (thanks, Seven Seas) and offer little except the admittedly beautiful artwork that stays true to the video game characters. If you don't have the time to play the game, don't even bother. Go read/play Tales of Berseria instead.
SpoilerIt seems that one major change to the manga was that, in the ending, Sorey actually dies instead of randomly appearing back in Elysia when Mikleo goes to visit the ruins.
