In this hilarious (even absurd) yet down-to-earth book, Nicole Byer utilizes her perspective as a #VERYFAT and #VERYBRAVE public figure. She proclaims herself as fat (not curvy, phat, or big-boned) proudly and beautifully. The text deftly shows how worries about being fat in public are ridiculous while still legitimizing the fears and insecurities that can come from wearing something revealing, especially if you are fat. The photographs show off Byer's obvious allure and are contextualized with humorous captions and extreme what-if scenarios that are sure to have you giggling.

A gorgeous, humorous, and validating read for all, but especially for the #VERYFAT who want to be #VERYBRAVE.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s all about loving your body no matter what. It’s hilarious. I was laughing out loud. The photos are great and super fun.
The only thing this is missing is the brands of those bikinis so can order my favorites.

FYI, 50% of this book is just pictures of Byer in bikinis. I was maybe expecting more writing, but I’m here for the radical self love! The writing she did include was a breath of fresh air. I’m doing a lot of work these days on body acceptance, and while more “serious” texts are great, there is something refreshing about the conversational tone here. And Byer is of course hilarious. I appreciate the levity. It helps make a really intense topic seem a bit lighter and more approachable.

Nichol Byer is a fantastic comedian and a brilliant businesswoman. I preordered this book and read it shortly after it came out, but the other day I just noticed it sitting on the shelf and decided to read through it again. I laughed the whole time and just left the experience feeling happier.

I would describe this as a self-help coffee table book. It is a book full of beautiful pictures of Byer in bikinis with limited text, but the text that is present provides you with funny tidbits about how to break out of your shell and wear a bikini no matter what body image issues are holding you back from doing so.

Her advice is at times body neutral and at others body positive. You have the body you have and you should not for a minute let what other people think stop you from wearing that bikini. Especially now that Byer has her own line of swimwear that you can purchase.

If you want a quick read that is a good time, I highly recommend this book.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I just adore Nicole Byer (Nailed it is just amazing) and I love these books about body positivity. So I had to try out this book, and I can tell you I loved it and will be adding it to my collection when the book releases in May!

This book is about body positivity and then especially doing stuff in a bikini. Nicole can list around 199 things you can do in a bikini and encourages you to add some more. Some of the things include baking bacon (though she recommends not wearing a bikini for that :P), bench-pressing a baby, throwing bags of potatoes in the ocean, and more. I had such a big laugh at this one.
She even includes a guide on finding a special bikini for two occasions and there are plenty of tips on how to overcome and be brave! I loved reading those tips. I am not fat or overweight, but I got enough body issues that I drive my hubby crazy, so I was happy with those tips. I hope I don’t offend someone, given that this book is about fat + bravery and I am in the OK weight range. But yeah, body issues are real. God, I wish I could just love my body.

What better way to deal with fat shaming than by looking at a book full of pictures of a large fit woman proudly wearing some of her vast collection of bikinis? Especially if it is the hilarious host of "Nailed it?" Funny and thought-provoking.
