Colleen Hoover is really good at writing books that are easy to understand that you can move through very quickly. After reading It Ends With Us, I gave Heart Bones and shot and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The plot felt random, the pacing was kind of off and the dialogue felt awkward along with the inner monologue at times. I also didn't enjoy the behavior that’s excused and almost romanticized in the love interest but that seems to be a common theme in Colleen Hoover’s books.

Oh man, I got teary-eyed a few times! I haven’t gone through anything that Colleen Hoover puts in her books, but she makes them so damn relatable. Such a beautiful story that all of the judgmental a*holes should read. Just another reminder to be kind, because you never know what people are going through.

This was my second Colleen Hoover book, and I was not disappointed. It was so easy to read, and once the climax began, it was hard to put down. I expected to cry, but I didn’t; that’s fine, though. The ending was satisfying, and I found myself quickly falling in love with the characters. My favorites were Sara and Pepper Jack Cheese (I’m such a sucker for animals). The plot twist was unexpected for me but that’s Colleen for you 😂.
I also really liked that she showed the complexity of Samson’s life and the motives for his crimes
Side note: the cover is absolutely gorgeous; props to Murphy Rae.

Now I get why everyone calls this THE summer book! I loved every second reading this book which I didn't expect. The book deals with some deep topics as usual (CoHo books) and gives some great lessons to the reader. Also the quotes and the title meaning? Perfection.
I don't want to give away too much but I can tell you that this is my favourite Colleen Hoover book so far! Pro tips: Read it in the summer to make a better reading experience and right now (August, 2022) you can get the book on kindle unlimited for free.
